Terms of Service

Welcome to ScanTheFont ("we", "our", or "us"). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ScanTheFont web application, located at https://www.scanthefont.com.

By accessing or using ScanTheFont, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Description of Service

ScanTheFont is a browser-based tool that enables users to upload image and document files to detect and identify fonts. The app supports file formats including PNG, JPG, PDF, PPT, PPTX, BMP, and GIF (up to 5MB).

2. User Responsibilities

By using ScanTheFont, you agree to the following:

  • You will only upload files you have the legal right to use.
  • You will not upload any content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, offensive, or infringes upon the rights of others.
  • You will not use ScanTheFont to reverse-engineer, copy, or replicate protected content or intellectual property without permission.
  • You are solely responsible for the content you upload and the results generated.

3. Intellectual Property

ScanTheFont and all associated logos, design, code, and features are the intellectual property of the owner(s) of this service. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the service without our written permission.

All fonts identified via ScanTheFont remain the intellectual property of their respective owners.

4. File Handling and Storage

Uploaded files are processed temporarily for the purpose of font detection and are not stored permanently on our servers. Files are automatically deleted shortly after processing.

We make no guarantees regarding the availability or accuracy of font identification results.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

ScanTheFont is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We make no warranties or guarantees about the reliability, accuracy, completeness, or availability of the service.

We disclaim all liability for:

  • Incorrect font detection results
  • Temporary downtime or performance issues
  • Loss of uploaded files or user data

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScanTheFont and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from:

  • Your use of or inability to use the service
  • Any errors or inaccuracies in the results
  • Unauthorized access to your data

Your sole remedy is to discontinue using the service.

7. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue ScanTheFont (or any part thereof) at any time without prior notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Philippines. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the use of ScanTheFont shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Republic of the Philippines.
